initial stage

Input from our artwork department or graphics received from client.

proofs stage

Proofs are made and sent out to client to check that any artwork supplied or created by us is correct. These proofs are created with a postscript printer which ensures data consistency. No printing will take place until the customer is completely satisfied that EPS has captured their vision.

pre-press

Printing plates are made in house using a scantex chromaspeed imaging system.

print stage

• The final print is processed lithographically on our Olliver Press
• All harmful press chemicals are eliminated by our proven methods

Conventional printers use vast amounts of Isopropanol (Industrial alcohol) as a surfactant during the printers process. They use this alcohol to take out surface tension and increase the evaporation speed and drying of the inks. As a consequence of this process the alcohol ends up just evaporating into the atmosphere. Most petrochemical solvents produce a vapour of this kind, all of which react with oxygen when they evaporate.

• We use vegetable oil based inks that contain none of the above.
• We use vegetable colour change washes for our press.
• We use no alcohol in our fount solution.
